To all single men,
Let me start by saying Magic-Date is legitimate, honest, and customer-oriented. Now that I have your attention, let me tell my story. I have been dealing with Magic-Date since May of 2003. I wrote to Larisa, now my fiancee, since that time. My letters to Larisa were translated without delay, as were those from Larisa to me. Also, Irina was very prompt with her responses to my inquiries all during this time. I am sure I asked some dumb questions, especially as the time of my visit to Lugansk drew closer.
In December of 2004, I was finally able to meet Larisa. This was the best time in my busy schedule. (I recommend to others that you listen to Irina and meet with your lady as soon as possible. Do not wait 1 1/2 years to visit Lugansk).
Irina was instrumental in getting me last minute travel arrangements from Kiev to Lugansk (an airplane ticket). I had wanted to ride the train from Kiev to Lugansk for the experience, but due to my procrastination in informing Irina of my decision, no train tickets were available. (This was due to the end of the university semester and the political rallies taking place in Kiev at the time). Irina worked hard to get me a last minute airplane ticket and with providing a taxi to pick me up at Borispol airport.
Irina and Fedor along with Larisa were also at Lugansk Airport to pick me up when I arrived there late at night.
The apartment that I used for my 4 week stay was incredible. It was more than I expected. It was newly remodeled to Western standards. I was impressed to say the least. It had everything a Western would expect; modern appliances, large bed, flush toilet, couches, television, and even a microwave oven. It is located in the downtown area, one block from a supermarket, and close to many other things, like restaurants, clubs, many types of stores, the Central Market, several parks, and believe it or not, even several casinos, of which I did not visit.
All during my stay in Lugansk, Irina or someone from Magic-Date was available to answer my questions, or help me in anyway. Also, Irina was available 24/7 if needed, as she provided me with her mobile number. (There was a phone in the apartment where I stayed). Also all the translators that I dealt with had mobile phones.
I need to tell you about the translators. There was three that I used during my stay in Lugansk. I can say they were all personable, smart, and great ladies to be around. They had spoke English like a native speaker, (even better if compare their English to people living in some parts the USA. Also they were all very pretty, and it would not be difficult for a man to fall in love with any of them. (One was already married). Irina really did well in hiring them as employees.
If you have never traveled to Ukraine, I have to tell you. GO! Lugansk is an amazing city with many changes taking place. Buildings are being remodeled; there are sidewalk vendors; it just seems like there is a genuine entrepreneurial spirit. What is happening there is truly historic. (I was witness to the changing of the Ukrainian presidency through the power of the people in the streets).
Lugansk is a different world to the USA or Western Europe, but there are also things there that will surprise. I mean surprise in a good way, as in "I didn't expect to see something that modern here". Ukraine is closer to Europe in more ways that just geography, so an American will especially remember their "Ukrainian experience", for the rest of their live. I strongly encourage you to get out and do things that would be considered "non-tourist" stuff. Ride a tram, take a bus, ride on the trackless trolley, and you have to visit the Central Market at least once. (It would take more than one visit to absorb all of the Central Market. I can only equate it to a huge flea market in the States) around the city.
Also visit a church, one of my regrets is that I did not go inside a new, huge, beautiful church that I seen while there. Also, I recommend that you and your beloved visit Kiev while in Ukraine. It is a very old city filled with history. I spent my last day there. I do look forward to knowing Lugansk and Ukraine for many years, and I look forward to visiting it many times.
If you have any questions or if I can help you in any way, fell free to ask Irina how to contact me, or ask your questions through her.
All I can say in closing is if you are hesitating in visiting Lugansk and you future bride, remember those three little words: Just Do It! You will be glad you did.
Sincerely,
Richard A Nestorick
